Please reach us at info@valmedcareers.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
No. ValMed’s clients hire us to identify candidates with very specific experience. They pay our fees.
Once you've expressed interest, we will review your background to determine whether your experience meets the criteria set by our client. If there isn’t a fit at this time, we will create a profile for you and reach out with future openings that are a better match. Please keep in mind, our clients pay us to identify a very specific background. If there appears to be a fit, a screening call with the recruiter will determine next steps. We will learn your goals and decide together if the open job is of interest. We will make sure you have the complete job description and company links to research. If we agree to move forward together, the call is quickly followed by a resume audit, then the recruiter submittal to the client. If the client is interested, we schedule all interviews and are with you each step of the way. If the client is not interested, for any reason, we will quickly contact you to share their feedback.
Be candid with your recruiter when discussing professional goals. Think about the overnight travel for example and whether it fits your lifestyle. Make sure your resume is accurate and your LinkedIn profile is up to date. Link up with your recruiter so you are easily identified by Hiring Managers. Do all homework as requested, ask questions, network and prepare for each interview with our team.
Don’t engage with ValMed on jobs you are already working either directly with a client or another recruiter. We will send you back to the recruiter who originally introduced the job and can’t introduce you to clients who already have your resume. We will have more jobs in your area and will continue to include you in those searches.
Ours recruiters are in constant contact with the hiring manager. They share their own observations and help answer questions that come up about candidates in between interviews or just prior to offer letters. They will make suggestions along the way on how you can increase your chances of success. They will let you know when to expect an offer and what it should look like, including timing. They help you work around any obstacles once an offer is received, like scheduled vacations and time needed to give notice, ensure a smooth transition.
Yes it can! While ValMed recruiters don't dive deep to see how a candidate engages the internet beyond professional sites like LinkedIn, some of our clients do. While your social media presence may seem personal to you, hiring managers may develop a negative bias based on what they see about you online. We encourage candidates to be careful! While the internet is a great tool for all of us, it can also be unforgiving.
